Methodology — Bloomberg-Style Proprietary Indices
Each index is calculated from live entity data across MBC's 24-entity ontology. The MBC Composite Index is a weighted average: Credit (20%), Formalization (20%), Repayment (20%), NDVI (15%), M-Pesa Velocity (15%), Women's Inclusion (10%). If these indices become the standard for measuring Mozambican agricultural finance, every DFI, journalist, and researcher will cite MBC data — whoever creates the index defines how the market is measured.
