Anselmo Boaventura

Anselmo Boaventura was born in Maputo, Mozambique — a city of vibrant culture and resilient people, yet surrounded by a countryside where 70% of the population depends on agriculture and far too many live in extreme poverty. Growing up, he saw firsthand how hard farmers worked and how little they earned — not from lack of effort, but from lack of access to capital, markets, and fair opportunity.

He pursued a Degree in Law from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, one of Africa's oldest and most respected universities, where he developed a deep understanding of legal frameworks, governance, and the structural barriers that keep communities trapped in poverty. He knew that solving poverty required more than charity — it required building systems that create wealth.

In 2011, Anselmo moved to the United States, and since 2016 he has been based in Fort Worth, Texas. From his vantage point in America, he saw the immense pool of global capital searching for meaningful, high-impact investment opportunities — and he saw his homeland's farmers who needed exactly that capital. The bridge between these two worlds became his life's work.

Maputo Bridge Capital is the embodiment of that vision: a platform that channels US investment into verified Mozambican agricultural projects, using mobile money, satellite-based credit scoring, and agent-verified onboarding to make every dollar count.
