High-Value Crops: Illustrated Guide for Non-Readers
HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
Each step is ONE PICTURE. No reading needed. Look. Do.
Green = good/money. Red X = bad/less money. Brown = earth.
STEP 1: ALONE = SMALL RESULT
PICTURE: One person working alone in a field. Small sweat drops. At the end: one small basket with little money ($). Red X.
MEANING: Working alone on low-value crops = small money. Hard work, small reward.
STEP 2: TOGETHER = BIG RESULT
PICTURE: Three people working together in the same field. Hands joined. At the end: three big baskets with more money ($$$). Green checkmark.
MEANING: Work together as a cooperative. More hands = bigger harvest = more money for everyone. COJAZ = 44 hands together.
STEP 3: HIGH-VALUE CROPS
PICTURE: Three baskets side by side:
- LEFT: Red tomatoes (full basket)
- CENTER: Green peppers (full basket)
- RIGHT: Brown sesame seeds (full basket)
All three have green checkmarks and money signs: $$$$.
MEANING: Tomatoes, peppers, sesame = HIGH VALUE. More money per basket than maize alone. COJAZ already grows these!
STEP 4: RAW vs PROCESSED
PICTURE: Two cashew nuts side by side:
LEFT (red X): Raw cashew with $2 sign. Small money. RIGHT (green checkmark): Roasted cashew in a nice bag with $8 sign. Big money.

MEANING: Do not sell raw. Process first (roast, dry, package). Raw cashew = $2. Roasted cashew = $8. Four times more money for the same nut.
STEP 5: PHONE SHOWS PRICE UP

MEANING: MBC sends price alerts to your phone. When prices go UP (green arrow), SELL. When prices go DOWN (red arrow), WAIT and store in PICS bags.
