In memory
Honour a life by starting a harvest.
Sponsor a farmer in Mozambique in memory of someone you love. The family receives a card with your message, the farmer’s name and village, and the season’s story from planting to harvest.
- A living memorial: seed in the ground this rainy season, a harvest by autumn.
- You choose who receives the card: the family, a friend, or yourself.
- Every gift has a seed-shop receipt, so the memory is attached to something real.

How it works
1. Choose a farmer
Pick a real farmer by name, crop and province. Verified farmers are visited in the field.
2. Your gift goes to the seed shop
From $25. We pay the farmer’s local agro-dealer for seed, fertilizer and tools. Never cash.
3. You get the receipt
The shop receipt, a photo of the seed in the ground and a harvest update, by email and on the live dashboard.
4. It is paid forward
After harvest the farmer pays the season into a community fund that sponsors the next farmer.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a donation in memory of someone?
Choose a farmer below, tick “Give this as a gift”, and in the message write who the gift honours. Add the family’s email and we send them a printable card at once.
What should I write on a memorial donation card?
Something short and personal works best, for example: “In memory of Maria, who never let anyone leave her table hungry. This season a farmer in Zambézia plants in her name.”
Can several people give in memory of the same person?
Yes. Each gift can carry the same name in its message, and a church or family can sponsor a block of 5 farmers together on the partners page.
How much should a memorial donation be?
Any amount from $25. $25 buys seed, $50 seed and fertilizer, about $150 a full season for one farmer.
Is the donation tax-deductible?
Sponsorships are gifts to the farmer’s season through Maputo Bridge Capital. Please check your own tax situation.
Gifts, not investments. 92% goes to the farmer’s local seed shop; 8% covers field verification.
