Bloomberg built a terminal giving financial professionals real-time data, proprietary indices, and decision intelligence. Maputo Bridge Capital, founded by Anselmo Boaventura in Fort Worth, Texas, has developed a similar vision for African agriculture to support farmers through the COJAZ cooperative in Zambezia.

Our terminal features 7 Proprietary Indices that track the health and productivity of the agricultural ecosystem: Credit Index, NDVI Health Index, Formalization Index, Repayment Rate, M-Pesa Velocity, Women's Inclusion, and a Composite score currently at 51/100.
Our 16-Entity Ontology maps the agricultural landscape: Farmer, Investment, Transaction, LandParcel, DroneSurvey, IoT Sensor, CarbonCredit, CropInsurance, AgentNetwork, and more. These entities are interconnected to create a digital twin of Mozambican agriculture. We utilize these frameworks to drive research into potential future technologies like AI and advanced data processing, which could one day revolutionize how smallholders access markets and improve yields.
Decision Intelligence
We provide per-user-type panels for those involved in the sector, including a Farmer loan calculator, an Agent attention list, and a DFI impact dashboard. This intelligence helps connect sponsors with verified smallholder farmers in Mozambique. By analyzing these data points, we can better understand the needs of the 3 million invisible farmers of the region.

For a smallholder farmer, these tools mean more accurate support and access to essential resources. When a sponsor provides funds from $25, that money goes directly to the local seed and fertilizer shop. The farmer receives the necessary inputs for the season, while the sponsor receives field photos and receipts. After the harvest, the farmer repays the funds into a Community Fund, which is then used to sponsor the next farmer in the cycle.
