Crowdfunding for farmers

Crowdfund a farmer’s season. Track every dollar live.

Pool small gifts to fund one farmer’s seed, fertilizer and tools for the season in Mozambique. Unlike loan platforms, the farmer owes you nothing; the season is paid forward to the next farmer instead.

  • Six friends at $25 each fund a full season for one farmer.
  • No interest, no debt on the farmer: the gift is paid forward into a community fund.
  • Each farmer’s progress shows on a public dashboard: paid, seed shop, planted, harvested.

How it works

1. Choose a farmer

Pick a real farmer by name, crop and province. Verified farmers are visited in the field.

2. Your gift goes to the seed shop

From $25. We pay the farmer’s local agro-dealer for seed, fertilizer and tools. Never cash.

3. You get the receipt

The shop receipt, a photo of the seed in the ground and a harvest update, by email and on the live dashboard.

4. It is paid forward

After harvest the farmer pays the season into a community fund that sponsors the next farmer.

Frequently asked questions

How does crowdfunding for farmers work here?

Several people sponsor the same farmer or farmer group, each from $25. The total pays the farmer’s seed shop for the season, and everyone gets the receipt and updates.

Is this peer-to-peer lending?

No. It is a gift. The farmer does not repay the sponsors; after harvest they pay into a community fund that sponsors the next farmer.

Can a group fund a farmer together?

Yes. Groups often split the $150 season, for example 6 people at $25 each.

How is the money tracked?

Each sponsorship appears on the live dashboard and moves from payment to seed shop to planting and harvest, with the receipt.

Which farmers can I fund?

Registered smallholder farmers in Mozambique, chosen by name, crop and province.

Gifts, not investments. 92% goes to the farmer’s local seed shop; 8% covers field verification.
